I have recently returned from a 6 week trip overseas. On this trip, like most of them that I take to the US, I ate a lot. I didn’t binge per say, I didn’t eat terribly bad, I just ate a lot. After all, there is a lot of food to eat in the US, and a lot of yummy food.
The other day, as I was thinking about some additional tools to use to help my trousers fit me better… the thought of Pac-man came into my mind and I’ve been using Pac-man for about a week now and thought I’d share. (more…)

How many sides are there to a coin? Two? Three? I suppose it depends on how you look at it and if you count the side or not. It’s interesting, the saying “there are two sides to every coin†is often used to help reframe options – to demonstrate that there is often more than one way to do thing. Another great saying “there is more than one way to skin a catâ€. Now why would you go and do that? 🙂
A few months ago while working with a client who was ‘tired’ of his job in sales I helped him to see that there were indeed more than one way… In his mind he had to quit his job and find a new profession. The only certainty is change.
Have you ever expected nothing at all to change? Or perhaps you have hoped that nothing would change? Well folks, I hate to burst that bubble, but everything changes.

Recently I was asked what I think about kids having jobs. Well, I’m all for it! Jobs around the house and even a job outside of the house. Jobs teach kids responsibility, work ethics, honesty, honour and pride.
Of course, if the job is done by the parent or a parent is overly involved in pushing the kid to get things done, the opposite may happen… the kid might not learn how to be a good worker, they may learn to be a great slacker. (more…)

What do a bank teller, a gardener, a bartender and a packer all have in common?
Today I’d like to share with you the experiences of four people that I have recently met who have something wonderful in common. They all what they do. And I mean LOVE it!
Sure, I know what you’re thinking – how can a bank teller love her job? And, what specifically is a packer? Well that one is easy – this person works in a factory and packs things into boxes that come off a conveyor belt. What isn’t to love about that job? (more…)

Welcome to the final article of this four part series of Is there an app for that? We are discussing the components to an application for change. Today we are looking at the component of congruency.
Congruency – the crucial moment where our beliefs, thoughts and attitudes align with our actions.
I meet a lot of people from training and coaching. Many people tell me that they are not good at manifesting change into their lives. My main question for them is this “are you not getting any manifesting or just not the things you want?†Most likely it is the latter. (more…)
