I remember my first time – I was nervous and excited, eager and skeptical. And, it was wonderful.

Before my first time, I was wondering what it was going to be like. Sure, I’d talked to friends, I’d read books – but can you get the whole picture like that? Is someone else’s experience going to be the same as mine?

An interesting thing, once you’ve had the experience, you can’t go back to not having it – so in a way, the first time changes life. Forever.

My first time was about 13 years ago. It was everything I had expected and a lot more. The entire experience took my breath away – leaving me with a euphoric desire for more. I knew that I had a long way to go, that there was so much more to know, and I had a sense that other people would help me along my journey.  My first  experience; the best words to describe it are: amazing, mind blowing, fireworks. And I was right. Now, in 2010 I love it even more than I did then.

How about you? What do you remember about your first time? The top three answers people give me when I ask them about their first time are:

  • The reality of their first experience was much better than their expectations.
  • Their awareness of ‘life’ was expanded exponentially.
  • Their world view was shaken from the experience.

How about you? I’m curious to know what words you would use to describe your first time.

You do know we’re talking about NLP, right?
