Good Cop Bad Cop

In NLP we often talk about the 3 minds – the conscious, unconscious and higher conscious mind. Ultimately, it is the unconscious part of our mind that runs us, maintains us and gets us either moving, or not. Our conscious mind is the analytical, thinking mind, but it isn’t actually responsible for much at all.

Embrace It

Have you ever experienced an emotion that you have tried to push away, only for it to get stronger? How about a behaviour that you promised yourself you wouldn’t have, only to break that promise?

Does it count or not?

It’s the end of the year – you know that already. And, as mentioned in the last post – we’re going to be taking stock of the year. While it is a good time to look forward and plan for the future – that has been talked and written about for years. How about something else for a change? How about have a look at the past year and looking at what counts. Or, what doesn’t.

Do you realise that there is an NLP Meta Program of Counting vs. Discounting. This meta program looks what you take on board and what you don’t – and it will mean different things to different people.

I Can’t Get No Satisfaction

As the year comes to an end, its always a good time to take stock of where you’ve been, what you’ve learned and where you are going. In the next few weeks I will help you do just that. However, I want to take a moment to get you to gauge your overall, big picture attitude toward the year. It was interesting to me, in an interview I saw with Madonna the other day she said something interesting, she said “I’m never satisfied”. She went on to say, that her life is great, she is (still) doing something that she loves, she doesn’t go without – yet she is still not satisfied. Are you?
